In accordance with the Manila Amendments (2010) to the STCW Code, as of January 1, 2014, all seafarers holding a certificate of competency must demonstrate proficiency in basic shipboard security training.
The “Certificate of Proficiency” for Security Awareness Training is obtained by completing an approved course in accordance with STCW A-VI/6-1 and STCW A-VI/6-2. It is issued by the BSH upon presentation of our BSH-accredited certificate of attendance.
If you do not yet have a valid “Basic Safety Training” certificate, you can book the “Basic Safety Training, including Security-Related Training in accordance with STCW 78, as amended” with us.
