Our current projects
BreMEN – Bremer MännerEntwicklungsNetzwerk
We provide young men aged 18 to 35 with new perspectives. With reliable support and no change of contact person, we help them find a path into employment, vocational training and social participation, even when others can no longer reach them.
360° coaching with continuous support
Barriers and competencies are identified together. The coaching strengthens the shift from external to intrinsic motivation, and interim goals are continuously reviewed.
Group sessions and practical success experiences
Soft-skill, job application, and IT training are combined with practical exercises in logistics, such as on forklifts or during order picking. ma-co's corporate network then helps with placements into internships, apprenticeships and jobs.

Change4Port
We are making container handling in Bremerhaven future-proof together with the employees. They are actively involved in the change process and trained for new tasks so that the port of the future is supported by everyone.
Participation and change guides
Employees and works councils jointly analyze with experts how employment and qualification requirements are changing. Qualified change guides and a participation and communication concept promote acceptance of the changes.
Skilled workforce and qualification strategy
Employees are comprehensively advised and specifically prepared for new tasks in the port as well as for further employment opportunities. The training measures are piloted and the results are transferred.

DigiRemote2030
We prepare the operational staff in the Port of Hamburg for the remote workplaces of tomorrow. This enables the switch to remote control of automated container cranes to succeed quickly and safely, with strong future competencies, so that the Port of Hamburg remains competitively viable in the long term.
Remote simulator training
Operators of conventional ship-to-shore container cranes are trained on a simulator that closely resembles the remote-control station of a future automated container crane. New training methods and instructional concepts are being developed for this purpose.
Personnel development strategy for the port industry
The training is embedded in a strategy that improves occupational safety and health protection and prepares employees for future competencies.

DigiTank
We are making tank storage operations future-proof: a digital twin, an AI-supported control center, and mobile monitoring units provide greater safety and better protection for our waterways. We involve the people working in the facility, relieving them and boosting their motivation for the new technology.
Digital twin
The facility is modeled virtually and monitored in real time. The human-centered control center reduces the cognitive load on employees.
Drones & robots
They carry out inspections and respond specifically to safety-critical incidents. This increases safety, protects the environment, and reduces the burden on personnel.

Distri4U
We make the diverse employment and development opportunities in warehousing and distribution logistics visible. This allows employees to plan their career path independently, continue learning in a targeted way, and actively shape their careers, even without formal qualifications.
Digital, interactive learning map
It shows current and new tasks, processes and interrelationships, the varying levels of automation and digitization, as well as qualification requirements and career development paths. Specific training offerings are linked directly.
Playful, multilingual learning system
The learning map is connected to the ILIAS continuing education platform. This motivates industrial employees with little or no formal qualifications to pursue further training. Its multilingualism also reaches employees with insufficient German skills.

LIFT - Logistics - Integration and Promotion of Talents
We show employees of foreign origin, especially refugees, new pathways in Bremen's logistics sector and specifically qualify them for better, higher-skilled positions. In this way we advance talent while also strengthening the companies they work for.
Individual qualification
Together with participants and companies, coordinated qualification plans are developed for individual employees or small groups. The basis is an analysis of existing formal and non-formal qualifications.
Career advancement in logistics
Training takes place on the job and is complemented by advice on possible IHK qualifications. This shows employees which career paths are open to them.

PortKIDialog+2035
We enable employees and managers in seaports and inland ports to use AI competently and take on new tasks. In this way we help shape the digital transformation of the port economy through 2035 in a human-centered and socially sustainable way.
AI impact analysis
We systematically examine how AI is changing job profiles in the white- and blue-collar sectors. A dedicated tool allows companies to continuously evaluate changes in tasks and qualifications and to simulate scenarios for AI deployment and required competencies.
Training with AI-supported learning formats
We develop further training concepts for AI application skills for industrial and administrative employees, including immersive simulations and AI-supported heavy-equipment simulators in the Digital Training Center.
