The objective of the GWO-certified First Aid BST module is to enable participants to recognize the signs and symptoms of life-threatening situations and to provide safe and effective first aid in the wind turbine industry/wind turbine environment in order to save lives and prevent further injury until the victim can be handed over to the emergency services.
Note: The course content is generally written in English. The language of instruction is also usually English. However, if the group of participants consists exclusively of German speakers, the lessons will be held in German. The course content will remain in English.
Target
After successfully completing this BST first aid module, participants will be able to: Acting independently in recognizing, assessing, and prioritizing the need for basic first aid and providing life-saving first aid until the accident victim is handed over to the emergency services in the event of an incident in the vicinity of a wind turbine. Take responsibility for recognizing your limitations as a basic first responder in order to call for help and enable the evacuation of the injured person in the event of an incident in the wind power industry/wind turbine environment.
