This course is intended for the captain, officers, and any other crew members who, in accordance with the safety role, are responsible for passenger safety and have already completed basic training based on Regulation V/2 (6, 7, and 8) of the Annex to the STCW Convention.
Please note that the content of Regulation V/2, Section 9 (Passenger safety, cargo safety, and hull integrity training) is NOT part of the refresher course!
Requirements
We are required to verify your eligibility based on the documents you submit. Please send us copies of the following documents—by email is also acceptable—by the start of the course:
- Valid medical certificate for seafarers
- National ID card or passport
- Valid certificate of completion for Basic Safety Training (SGA) or, if applicable, a certificate of participation in the refresher course
- Certificate of qualification issued on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with Regulation V/2 (6.7) of the Annex to the STCW Convention
- Certificate of qualification issued on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with Regulation V/2 (8) of the Annex to the STCW Convention
- 12 months of sea service on passenger ships within the last 5 years
